Cafe Ragazzi

(On corner of 95th St., Surfside)
tel.: 305/866-4495
Location: On corner of 95th St., Surfside
Cuisine: Italian
Price Category: Moderate

This diminutive Italian cafe, with its rustic decor and a swift, knowledgeable wait staff, enjoys great success for its tasty simple pastas. The spicy puttanesca sauce with a subtle hint of fish is perfectly prepared. Also recommended is the salmon with radicchio. You can choose from many decent salads and carpacci, too. Lunch specials are a real steal at $7, including soup, salad, and daily pasta. Unlike Café Prima Pasta, Café Ragazzi is light on sceniness--people come here for the food only. Expect to wait on weekend nights.

Main courses $9-$18.Open: Mon-Fri 11:30am-3pm; daily 5:30-11pm.Reservations accepted for 4 or more.Credit Cards: MC, V.
