Laundry Bar features working washers, dryers, a fully stocked bar, and several other distractions to help make doing your laundry a fun rather than a dreaded chore. It's also one of the only bars on South Beach open from 7am to 5am daily. Thursdays seem to be laundry night on South Beach, when a DJ spins the best in house music. On Wednesdays and Fridays, gospel diva Marvel Epps (formerly of the Astor Place restaurant's Gospel Brunch fame) sings live to an always packed and lively house. And although it's most popular with the gay community, Laundry Bar draws a mixed crowd; on weekends, the place is packed like an overloaded washing machine. Daily happy hours (5-7pm) with two-for-one drinks allow you to save your change for the washing machines.
