Crowds are reasonably small at this 76-acre attraction, partly due to a lack of publicity, but mainly because it doesn't deliver the same entertainment pizzazz that the bigger parks do. Splendid China has more than 60 miniature replicas of that country's man-made and natural wonders. Highlights include replicas of the 4,200-mile Great Wall of China (half-mile long here), the Forbidden City's 9,999-room Imperial Palace, the massive Leshan Buddha originally carved in a mountainside, the Stone Forest of Yunan, and the Mongolian mausoleum of Genghis Khan. The Mysterious Kingdom of the Orient is a 90-minute dance and acrobatic show held Tuesday through Sunday night in the Golden Peacock Theater. It's included in the admission, or, if you don't want to go to the park, a separate ticket is $16 for adults, $10.65 for kids 5 to 12. Trams circle the attraction throughout the day, stopping at the major attractions, shops, and arts and crafts displays for pickup and drop-off. Unless you're an armchair traveler or a miniature lover, we'd skip this spot. Allow 4 to 5 hours.
