To comply with state law, Backstreet is actually a private club for which 3-month memberships are sold for $10. This allows the club to be open 24 hours a day. Admission is free Sunday through Thursday with proof of membership, and $5 on Friday and Saturday nights. If you're just in town for a few days and want to dance the night away at Backstreet, you can go on a Friday or Saturday night and get in with the purchase of the $10 membership. Be sure to take ID or you'll be turned away.
