Chapter 11--The Discount Bookstore

Based in Atlanta, Chapter 11 bookstores comprise the largest independent chain in the city. They take 30% off the cover price for the top 15 hardcover New York Times bestsellers, and all other books in the store are at an everyday discount of 11%. The staff--all serious readers--excel at answering questions and finding particular titles. Chapter 11 will special order books at no additional cost. Open Monday to Saturday 10am to 9pm, and Sunday noon to 6pm.
Besides the Ansley Mall store, there are several suburban locations and three other in-town stores: 3509 Northside Pkwy. (tel. 404/841-6338), 1 block north of West Paces Ferry Road; 2091 North Decatur Rd. (tel. 404/325-1505), near Emory University; and 2345-A Peachtree Rd. (tel. 404/237-7199), in the Peachtree Battle Shopping Center at Peachtree Battle Avenue. Hours vary, but the Emory and Peachtree stores are open later.
