This older cottage-style motel is nestled in a tranquil, tropical setting on Kaneohe Bay, only a 30-minute drive from Waikiki. Despite the name, the ambience here is more motel then resort, but Schraders offers a good alternative for families. Many of the guests are military families visiting nearby Kaneohe Marine Corps base. Cottages have kitchenettes with refrigerator and microwave. Prices are based on the views; depending on how much youre willing to pay, you can look out over Kahuluu fish pond, the Koolau Mountains, or Kaneohe Bay. Lots of watersports are available at additional cost. Tip: When booking, ask for a unit with a lanai; that way, youll end up with at least a partial view of the bay.
