Elizabeth "Liz" Foley, the same culinary genius behind the Dali Deli and Café Cara, has just opened this stylish, open-air restaurant overlooking the manicured grounds at the Kiahuna Swim and Tennis Club. Liz makes sure that every detail is taken care of, from the polished slate floors to the fresh flowers. This casual sophistication is well-thought-out everywhere, but her level of excellence really shines in the kitchen. As the sun rises across the horizon, her gourmet breakfast consists of everything from Basque piperrada (Spanish scrambled eggs) to fruit crepes to a variety of eggs (lots of manifestations of eggs Benedict) to old-fashioned waffles. Lunch is a creative selection of sandwiches, salads, soups, and brochettes; among the offerings are Greek lamb, prawn and scallop skewers, Algerian chicken skewers, and Moroccan vegetable with couscous. There's even a kids' menu with such classics as PB&J and grilled cheese. There's also a tapas menu of small items, each one so delicious you could make a meal of it: Moroccan chicken crepe, Italian shrimp, and their signature "must-try" lobster ceviche. But it's at dinnertime that the stars come out, and Liz's famous culinary talents really stand out. Try her North African lamb with fennel and harissa, maiale con ginepro (pork with juniper and gin sauce), zarzuela (Spanish stew with lobster, shrimp, mussels, tomato, and saffron), and pollo limone (roasted chicken with lemon and wine). Whatever you order, do not miss the chocolate mousse with orange. Even non-chocolate fans will be licking the bowl holding this light and creamy dessert.

Breakfast $6-$9; lunch $6-$13; tapas $4-$13; dinner entree $12-$21.Open: Mon-Sat 7:30-11am breakfast, 11:30am-3pm lunch, 11am-10pm tapas, 6-10pm dinner (till 11pm Fri and Sat); Sun 8:30am-4pm breakfast and tapas.Reservations recommended for dinner.Credit Cards: DC, DISC, MC, V.
