This retro diner is popular with all Village types, including yuppies and their kids, who come for hearty American fare in a 1950s setting -- turquoise vinyl booths, Formica tabletops, a soda fountain, and a lunch counter with stools that spin. Breakfast is king here but there's also a terrific selection of burgers (including a great veggie version), well-stuffed sandwiches, hearty green salads, and blue-plate main dishes such as meat loaf with mashed potatoes.
