Located at the end of Morgan's Alley, a small indoor mall, is one of Portland's most reliable Chinese restaurants. Although the menu lists such appetizing main dishes as crab with black-bean sauce and Peking duck, there are two items that should absolutely not be missed. General Tso's chicken is both crispy and chewy and is smothered with a succulent, fiery sauce. Lover's eggplant, which is "dedicated to those of our guests with romantic inclinations as well as to all genuine lovers of eggplant," consists of beautifully presented and prepared chunks of creamy eggplant that are truly an eggplant lover's dream come true.
Main dishes lunch $5-$6.50, dinner $8.50-$25.
