Located in a restored 1877 mill listed on the National Historic Register, Archibald's is a comfortable step back in time. In each booth, you'll find a picture and brief discussion of one of Archibald Gardner's 11 wives. Menu items here range from American standards--burgers, top sirloin steaks, salmon--to more creative fare, like the chicken jubilee (strips of breaded chicken breast sautéed with fresh ginger, garlic, tomatoes, cilantro, onions, pepper flakes, and coconut). We heartily recommend the halibut and chips, serviced with fries at lunch and English-style chips at dinner, or the ginger chicken salad--grilled chicken and almonds over shredded lettuce, with olives, green onions, mushrooms, snow peas, and a sesame-ginger dressing. Full liquor service is available.
Lunch $5-$8; dinner $8-$18.
Open: Mon-Thurs 11am-9pm, Fri-Sat 11am-10pm.
