This place is one of my favorites in Santiago. It's vibrant and warm and is the "in" spot in Providencia for actors, businesspeople, and young people in the area. It's a great restaurant with tiny alcoves and corners to hide in, and a long wooden bar for dining and drinking. The menu is bistro-style, with about 15 entrees and a selection of soups and sandwiches. The walls are covered with kitsch: movie posters, street signs, pictures of soccer stars, advertisements, and so on. Good service is provided by plentiful waiters in black bow ties. In the evening, the Bar Liguria is tremendously popular, especially for the potent pisco sours, and you might have to wait for a table. It's a great place for outdoor dining, but get here early.
