Fortune Cookie -- The food offerings in the Entertainment District grow ever more sophisticated -- a great thing, unless you're looking for a place to take the small fry. The all-you-can-order 39-item tasting menu is a mere C$9.95 (US$7) for children 9 and under.

Grano -- Don't worry that a noisy babe-in-arms might disrupt diners -- this lively, slightly chaotic eatery welcomes families. The owners have four kids, and they love to fuss over the bambini.

Kensington Kitchen -- Whimsically decorated, with colorful toys and model airplanes. It seems to be easier to get kids to eat their greens when veggies are tucked into pita sandwiches, like the ones here.

Millie's Bistro -- This is a perennially popular spot with families. There's a special menu for tykes, and most of the Mediterranean food can be eaten without cutlery.

Shopsy's -- When the kids are sick of eating out and craving comfort food, this is where to take them. Home-style chili and macaroni and cheese hit the spot, and ice cream dominates a whole section of the menu.
