Visitor Information--The Portland Oregon Visitors Association (POVA) Information Center, 701 SW Sixth Ave, Suite 1 (tel. 877/678-5263 or 503/275-9750; www.travelportland.com), is in Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland. There's also an information booth by the baggage-claim area at the Portland Airport.
If you happen to see a person walking down a Portland street wearing a very bright green jacket, he or she is probably a member of the Portland Guides service run by the Association for Portland Progress (tel. 503/224-7383). The guides will be happy to answer any question you have about the city.
