Shopping: Antiques & Fine Art

The Sellwood neighborhood (south of downtown at the east end of the Sellwood Bridge) is Portland's main antiques-shopping district, with about 30 antiques shops and antiques malls along 12 blocks of SE 13th Avenue. Spend the day browsing these many shops and you're certain to find something to add to your collection of whatever it is you collect. With its old Victorian homes and turn-of-the-century architecture, Sellwood is an ideal setting for these shops. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area in case it turns into an all-day outing.
You'll also find three more large antiques malls (all under the same ownership) nearby on Milwaukie Boulevard: Stars, at 6717 SE Milwaukie Blvd. (tel. 503/235-9142), and at 7027 SE Milwaukie Blvd. (tel. 503/239-0346); and Star & Splendid, 7030 SE Milwaukie Blvd. (tel. 503/235-5990).
