Introduction: The Best Treks for Mountain Views Frommer
Annapurna Sanctuary: Set at 13,000 feet in an amphitheater surrounded by half a dozen peaks more than 21,000 feet tall, Annapurna Sanctuary is the endpoint of what might be the single most view-intensive trek in Nepal. With 360 degrees of mountains and massive glaciers around you, the view from this high, grassy valley is both awesome and relatively easy to achieve.

Gokyo: Located within a few days' trek of Everest Base Camp and Kala Pattar, Gokyo actually has better views. From the summit of 17,990-foot Gokyo Ri, you can see Everest, Cho Oyu, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Makalu.

Kala Pattar: Those who make the arduous trek up to this 18,190-foot peak near Everest Base Camp are rewarded with some of the best views of Mount Everest without climbing the mountain itself. Also visible from this peak are more than half a dozen other high peaks that make for a very impressive 360-degree panorama.

Ghorapani to Ghandruk: If you want to get the most mountain views in the least amount of time, the trek up from Naya Pul to Ghorapani and then over to Ghandruk should satiate your desire for Himalayan vistas. From the sunrise above Ghorapani to the in-your-face view of Machhapuchhare and Annapurna South from Chomrong, this trek does not disappoint.
