Nightlife: Gay & Lesbian Clubs Frommer

Dupont Circle is the gay hub of Washington, D.C., with at least 10 gay bars within easy walking distance of one another. Here are two from that neighborhood and one located near the White House; also refer back to Nation, whose Saturday night "Velvet" party is a gay event, and to Mr. Henry's Capitol Hill, whose live jazz on Friday night pleases every persuasion, though the restaurant itself has long been a popular spot for gays and lesbians.
