Hidden Valley
Jack Frolick developed Hidden Valley back in 1955 and is still area manager, head ski instructor, all-around PR guy, and its biggest fan. With bare-bones facilities, Hidden Valley is not even close to being a resort, but there is a full-service day lodge with cafeteria and bar - Frolick says they really whoop it up in the evenings in the Mother Goose lounge. The lodge also contains a well-stocked retail and rental ski shop that features Rossignol skis for demo or purchase.
